WE appreciate the opportunity to provide you with background on Air Tight Solutions and our product the AS100. Andy Snyder III and myself with over 60 combined years of tire experience had often talked about better ways to maintain tubeless truck tires, especially the issues concerning air pressure. Our conclusions were always the same; the heavy truck industry needed a valve stem grommet that would not collapse under the coldest or hottest of conditions. There were no vendors in the marketplace that offered this type of product.
At this point we knew what was needed and set out to design such a product. We had a local machine shop manufacture a proto type and we began testing in November of 2001. The AS100 was designed to replace the conventional rubber grommets and maintain air pressure in tubeless heavy truck tires without the recurring labor cost of retorqueing the valve stem nut. The testing yielded incredible results with no occurrences of air pressure lost of any valve within the first year of testing. Since then we have helped many Fleets solve their air loss problems with heat and weathering problems associated with antiquated rubber grommets.
